School, school, school

So after a few delays, Collin went to his first day of preschool on Monday. However it was not quite what was expected. His school just built a new building over the summer and there were a couple of delays to begin with. So we arrive to the first day of school in the pouring rain to find out that the power company did not turn on the power when they said they would so the building inspection did not happen. So no students were allowed in the building. The administration did not want to delay any further as parents were expecting school to start so they told the teacher to plan field trips and outdoor activities for the first 2 days of school. Of course, they did not factor in Mother Nature. So, we arrive to complete chaos and a mad scramble to to find rooms to house the whole school. Collin was definitely not thrilled about school. But when he got warm and dry and in a room with just his class he was feeling much better about it. So Monday he got to spend the day at the Gayle Center and Today he got to tour the fire station. Hopefully tomorrow he will actually go to his classroom. We'll keep our fingers crossed!
