Garrett had his last day of 1st grade today. They had an awards ceremony at school. (It would have been nice if they sent something home saying that not only was there an award ceremony, but that my son was getting an award.) Garrett received the Gold level Mustang Award. This award takes in everything throughout the whole year from academics, to attendance, to behavior. Garrett also came home with individual awards for attendance, citizenship, homework completion, home reading, and spelling. We are so proud of Garrett, he works hard and is such a sweetheart!
There is barely enough room on the refrigerator for all his awards!

ReplyDeleteCongrats to both of the boys and congrats to the parents for helping them acheive their goals. They both have grown so much bigger and since their days in San Diego, but still just as cute!
ReplyDeleteAll I am going to say is that this house is full of over-acheivers and I don't like it! Whatever happened to playing outside all day in elementary school and not caring about grades and homework? We need to bring the good 'ol days back! On a more positive note, Good job Garrett!
